1. Get rid of the credit cards
2. Use cash more to buy what you ‘really need’ not want
3. Get on a sensible zero-based budget
4. Make sure you have a job. Even better if it’s a stable job.
5. Put away money for an ‘Emergency Fund’
6. Setup a plan to get out of debt
7. As you successfully pay down your debts:
A. Try putting aside at least 15% of your income for retirement
B.  Put aside 5% for your kids College Fund

8. Pay off your house early
9. Build wealth and give some of it away
10. Read books about money, savings, etc. Continue on your path..even as you become successful.
